Greetings!

I have a teaching gig next week in Visalia, Monday through Thursday, but my flight home doesn't leave SFO till Sunday Morning.

Hmmm...What to do, what to do.......

    I don't see anything fabulous on the calendar so perhaps we need to make up our own? I can talk to the boy about having an impromptu party in Oakland Saturday night.

    Anyone interested? Or know of something not-to-be-missed going on this weekend?

          Not looking for anything big. (I know how hard it is to get a parade together on such short notice.) Just want to hang with my peeps! And if anyone has a sofa I could crash on for Thursday, Friday, and/or Saturday, That would save me a hotel bill.

              Tanks for the crash-space, BC. And I can't wait to see your loat, Roo!

              A clarification, and some late-breaking news: i'll be out next weekend, not this weekend. I'm flying into SFO, then driving to Visalia Sunday night, the 16th. My class ends Thursday, the 20th, hopefully early, since it's a 3 and a half hour drive north from there.

              The wonderful news is that my beloved Armadillo has secured passage, and will be coming out to meet me! We are planning to hit a birthday party at a campground in Half Moon Bay during the day on Saturday. And there is a party/meeting for the Iron Rose on Friday evening. The rest is up for grabs. So if your Easter weekend isn't already chock full of egg hunts, let's see if we can hook something up. Our flight home is hellaciously early on Sunday (6:00 AM - UGH!) so we may just do an all-nighter Saturday, crawl to the airport, and sleep on the plane.

              Anyway, I'll keep in touch as plans progress. Can't wait to see you all!

                Yay! This gives us more time to plan! And we get to see the lovely Armadillo too!!!!

                So Saturday night 3/22, can we claim you? We can either plan a shindig at someone's house or at a nice pub (I haven't spilled a Guinness on myself in AGES)... we will invite the vamps and you can extend the invite to anyone on your must-see list?

                  Claim away! Anyplace with Guinness and bibs would be perfect! And since our flight leaves at 6:00 Sunday morning, plan on an all-nighter. Please spread the word among the vamps. I will post a blog to get those who don't frequent this tribe.

                  BTW, Lumina is planning a happy hour at a mexican bar in Alameda on Thursday - Time and place to be announced.

        I missed seeing all of you, too. Timing is everything. But I will see you on the playa, yes???

        Funny thing was, of all the people I did get to see, who should show up at the CrackPalace but Plague! In the three + years he has lived around the corner in West Chester, we never managed to get together. But fly out to SF, and there he is! Life is strange.
